Box Clever

Ruby appeared back onstage in Philadelphia at Inis Nua Theater Company as the lead in the U.S. Premiere of a two-woman show from the U.K. entitled Box Clever. Written by Monsay Whitney, this darkly comedic play offers a scathing critique of the various ways in which social service systems, put in place to protect vulnerable women, can end up serving as impediments to their safety and survival. Ruby received two Barrymore Award Nominations for her performance: Outstanding Lead Performance in a Play and Outstanding Ensemble Performance in a Play.
